Seçil Turan Kerçek

Seçil Kerçek was born in 1991 in Samsun and completed her high school education at Samsun Science High School. In 2014, she graduated with honors from Istanbul Technical University’s Industrial Product Design Department. During her studies, she won the İMMİB Industrial Design Competition.

She began her career as an Interaction Designer at Turkcell Global Bilgi and later held roles in design, project sales, and dealer account management at Vestel’s Sales and Marketing departments. She then returned to Turkcell Global as a Customer Experience Designer. In 2019, she joined the founding team of PwC Experience Center and led the Experience Design Department.

Seçil has worked with various local and international brands on user research, digital product design, experience strategies, service innovation, and change management projects. She has facilitated workshops, conducted training sessions on design thinking, and organized hackathons.

In 2023, Seçil launched Juno42, a creative service design studio that integrates user-centered design with strategic thinking to shape the future of organizations. At Juno42, she partners with companies to reimagine their transformation journeys, delivering solutions that are not only effective but also purpose-driven.

For Seçil, design is more than a tool; it is a means to create meaningful change, craft compelling narratives, and leave a lasting impact on people’s lives. She is dedicated to exploring how design can be a catalyst for innovation and human connection in a rapidly changing world.

Beyond her entrepreneurial endeavors, Seçil teaches service design at Medipol University, inspiring the next generation of designers to think critically and creatively.

Ebrar Berire Altay
Our First Experience Design Intern

How did you decide to become a designer?

As a child, I expressed my emotions through drawings rather than words. One defining moment was creating a giant blue bird model in middle school—it brought my imagination to life and sparked my love for design. Choosing Industrial Design in university was my first step toward a career of creative freedom.

Describe your first and last days at Juno42 in three words.

First day: Exciting, energetic, fulfilling.
Last day: Bittersweet, transformative, collaborative.

What is the most valuable lesson you gained at Juno42?

*Perfection isn’t necessary, and no one is flawless.
*Simple solutions can create big impacts.
*Sharing and collaboration make work more meaningful.

I believe I added a fresh perspective, a supportive colleague, and a sincere friend. This internship was a time of learning, growth, and meaningful connections..
